There is always a demand for High skilled workers in Canada, and to cater this need of the employers the government of Canada started an immigration program which is known as Express Entry.  The main aim of this program is to efficiently pick foreign workers whose skills and experience give them an edge over others to migrate to Canada and start the employment in their field in a short span of time. If the candidate meets the criteria of any Immigration program of Express Entry then they can move to Canada along with their families for an all new life in Canada. Once you get the permanent residency of Canada you and your permitted family members will be entitled to take employment in Canada, reside in Canada, avail free basic healthcare and education. Canada is known for its best standard of living.

 

Express Entry Process

The process of Express Entry is different for each Economic Immigration program but we can divide the procedure into the following main steps.

 

Research:

The first step of the Express Entry process is sufficient research and preparation before applying for express entry. First you have to assess in which Economic Immigration program you can apply on the basis of your work experience, education and language proficiency. Normally to assess the level of your English or French language, you have to score in Canadian Government approved assessment test. For English Language proficiency you can prepare for IELTS and TEF for French language. You have to get an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to ascertain the level of education you received as compared to education received in Canada.

 

Application

After doing all the necessary research and collecting all the required documents the next step towards Express entry is to apply to the government of Canada. Express Entry profile will be filed online and you have to enter all your personal details, result of the ECA, IELTS or / and TEF score and other information related to your work experience and job skills. The candidate can also register with Canada’s Job Bank within a span of 30 days after filing for Express Entry profile. If the candidate already has a job offer from a Canadian employer he / she doesn’t have to register for Canada’s Job Bank. An official from government of Canada will examine all the details provided in Express Entry profile and will give Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on the details provided in the Express Entry profile. If the officials find your profile as per the eligibility criteria for any Economic Immigration program they will place the profile in Express entry pool of prospective candidates for Express Entry Immigration system.

 

Selection

Skilled foreign worker can be selected from the Express Entry pool when he or she will either receives an approved offer letter from a Canadian employer or a Canadian province or a territory nominated the candidate for the PNP (Provincial Nominees Program). The candidate can also be selected if he or she gets the highest score in the Express Entry pool. After getting selected the applicant will be provided the official Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the Canadian Permanent Residency Visa by the government. After successfully getting the ITA the candidate should complete the application within 60 days for the permanent residency with all required documents and government fees for this program.

 

Approval

In the last step the candidate will be informed the result of the application for the permanent residency within six months.  If everything is as per the requirement of the government then the candidate will be awarded Permanent residency of Canada and will be allowed to live and work in Canada along with permitted family members.
